Quinacridone Magenta
Quinacridone Magenta is a Series 3 transparent color. It has a masstone of the cleanest and most powerful cool blueish red, very useful for colour mixing and glazing because of its transparent undertone. This color is available in 80ml, 250ml and 500ml sizes.

Color Comparisons
Permanent Alizarine / Quinacridone Magenta / Quinacridone Red Violet
Shown here are three deep cool red colours side by side in masstone, mid tint and pale tint with white. They are Permanent Alizarine, now made with the single pigment PR176, Quinacridone Magenta PR122 and Quinacridone Red Violet PV19. When Quinacridone Magenta was first introduced to the Artists Palette quite a number of years ago, many artists avoided it because of its unfamiliar brilliance but it has become recognised as the most intermixable of the cool reds if you know how to control it.
The Permanent Alizarine made on PR176 is a much softer colour, and easier to control, while the Quinacridone Red Violet is rather a moody colour.
These three colours are transparent and the glazes are shown below.
